Email & Communication Policy

1. Purpose

This policy explains how human.today communicates with you across email, in-app messaging, push notifications, and other channels as we expand the Life OS experience. It supplements our Privacy Policyand forms part of our Terms of Service.

2. Types of Communications

  • Transactional: Account confirmations, password resets, billing notices, security alerts, and other essential operational messages.
  • Product Experience: Module reminders, milestone celebrations, progress summaries, beta invitations, and nudges that help you get value from the Life OS.
  • Marketing: Announcements about new features, community events, offers, and educational content that align with your interests.
  • Research & Feedback: Requests to participate in studies, surveys, or advisory councils that shape the product roadmap.
  • Support: Responses to help tickets, coaching requests, or safety escalations initiated by you.

3. Consent & Preference Management

  • We collect consent during sign-up and inside the Life OS notification settings.
  • Each marketing email includes an unsubscribe link that removes you from future campaigns.
  • You may opt out of push or SMS channels (where offered) via device settings or in-product controls.
  • You cannot opt out of essential transactional notices while maintaining an active account, as they are required to deliver the Service.

4. Frequency & Cadence

We aim to keep communications meaningful. Product and marketing emails are typically limited to a few times per week, while transactional alerts are sent in real time. You may temporarily receive higher volumes while participating in beta cohorts or research programs.

5. Third-Party Providers

human.today uses trusted vendors to send communications, including Resend (email), Clerk (authentication notices), and customer support platforms. Vendors act on our behalf and may process metadata such as delivery status, opens, and link clicks to help us monitor performance and abuse.

6. How We Protect Your Information

  • We authenticate outgoing messages with industry standards such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
  • We maintain suppression lists to honor unsubscribes and legal requirements.
  • We limit access to contact data to team members with a legitimate business need.

7. Compliance Commitments

We follow CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, UK PECR, and other applicable laws. If required, we will obtain additional consent and provide localized disclosures for specific regions.

8. Your Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate contact information and update it when details change.
  • Use human.today communication tools respectfully; do not spam other users or our team.
  • If you forward our messages, do not alter them in a misleading or deceptive way.

9. Changes to This Policy

As we introduce new channels or programs, we may update this policy. We will post revisions with a new "Last updated" date and notify you of material changes via email or in-product messaging.
